RENMIN UNIVERSITY OF CHINA using recovery card for their computer
rooms originally. the rooms need to update software twice per week,
some computers always can not clone successfully while updating it
at night with recovery card's automatic update mode. So it has to
update it in day manually, for confirm each clients update staus.
Because it costs almost 3 hours per update, so administrator need
to stop use for Wednesday afternoon for for updating. It cause waste
of computer resources.
While testing with MrBOOT, teachers were worried about decrease
system performance. Considering with there is independent internet
proxy and high level configuration server (Xeon*2, 2GB ram, SCSI
*3), engineer chose the MrBOOT Pro, and enabled image optimize function.
Now, even though sixty clients boot simultaneity, it just cost
90 seconds for boot into desktop (single client just need 30 seconds).
Image optimize function enabled the performance of disk system for
boot and application running speed.
Client runs application as quick as ago with a harddisk, but never
happen harddisk fault again.
When the adult college building created, administrator moving 10
reading rooms and 8 computer rooms to MrBOOT pro desktop streaming
platform too. Administrator just need to monitor status in office
and keep a lightweight maintain now.
